A little about me

Hi, my name is Ian and I am not a Buddhist (as in the religion, and remember Shakyamuni Buddha was not a Buddhist), though I do practice the Dharma.  I am the father of three beautiful children for whom I am grateful.

I’m also a trauma survivor, having survived nearly 2 decades of intense daily abuse, from which I was diagnosed with PTSD earlier in 2015. My introduction to Buddhism came at age 12 when I received the Tibetan Book of the Dead (Evan-Wentz translation), and so my journey began.

The Mahayana vision of Tibetan Buddhism at times brought me solace from my pain, however short-lived.  And now I’m in therapy where the therapist incorporates Buddhist practice as a supplement to therapy.

And my path keeps coming back to the Dharma, no matter which path I’ve chosen to take my search always leads me back to the Buddha’s teaching.  So I decided to create this website to educate people about the Dharma and ensure that they have the resources (i.e books) to continue their studies, if they wish.

May we attain Buddhahood for the sake of all sentient beings in every universe!!
